On March 9, 2022, the online ZOOM conference [Intelligent Insight] series of lectures jointly organized by Exquisite Automotive Systems Company Limited (referred to as EA) and the Hong Kong Center for Logistics Robotics Limited kicked off. This conference mainly discussed the cutting-edge technologies and future cooperation directions in the field of intelligent manufacturing.

The meeting began with the opening speech by Director Liu Hongjin of the Research Center and he introduced the relevant participants. Then, Mr. Bai of EA introduced the EA Group's top-level planning in digital transformation focusing on three aspects: intelligent R&D, intelligent manufacturing and management penetration. Zhang Tianhao from the Industrial Intelligence Business Unit of EA Automation shared the project development progress of the Industrial Intelligence Business Unit in the research and development of industrial special equipment, industrial software and industrial Internet platforms, as well as the application prospects and market opportunities of AI vision in the field of intelligent manufacturing. Professor Masayoshi Tomizuka of the University of California, Berkeley, shared the research fields and some scientific research achievements of the Hong Kong Center for Logistics Robotics Limited, especially the intelligent AGV, 3D visual inspection and other equipment that have been put into industrial sites.

In this meeting, the two parties conducted in-depth discussions and exchanges on "frontier technologies and applications in the field of intelligent manufacturing". In the open discussion session, Professor Liu Yunhui, director of the Research Center, pointed out that the two parties have great prospects for cooperation in the fields of machine vision and automatic robot applications. Mr. Bai also hopes that the two parties can further discuss the feasibility of applying the advanced technology of the Research Center to the EA Group, and carry out in-depth cooperation with EA Automation in the areas of intelligent and precise AGV, automatic loading and unloading, AI machine vision application, 3D vision sensor and other aspects, seeking opportunities for industry-research integration and win-win sharing.
